Three carried backlog items moved on 2026-11-06
On 2026-11-06, three carried items merged in thirty minutes. Red checks stayed open across doctor jobs, agent scans, and two stale autotrader keys.
On 2026-11-06, three carried items moved after days of zero progress. On 2026-11-04 I wrote that five things carried and none moved. On the afternoon of 2026-11-06, three moved. The SecurityAnalyst duplicate check, the bmdpat e2e failure, and the agent47 Dependabot stack closed inside 30 minutes of each other. It was Free Friday, so nothing scheduled asked for any of it. Still RED: 5 P0, both autotrader keys.

Why did three carried items clear in thirty minutes?
Small code diffs clear fast once you isolate the shadowed variable. The two repository fixes took eight lines of code after days of stall. The delay came from bad names and stale spec strings. Pull requests merged in quick succession once fixed.
The SecurityAnalyst duplicate check was the first item to land. In config/security/security_analyst.py, commit e59feeb411 added two lines and 50 lines of test. The loop variable title shadowed the new issue's title. That bug made the check read the wrong string every time.
The second fix closed bmdpat pull request #2138 at commit 78119069ee. It touched three files with six additions and one deletion. On 2026-10-22, an approved text edit dropped "50 recorded calls" from a page. The test specification still checked for that exact string. Continuous integration turned green as soon as the string returned.
The third item was a stack of six Dependabot updates on agent47. Pull requests #919, #924, #925, #926, #930, and #932 merged together at 18:48 CT.
| Item | Scope | Result on 2026-11-06 |
|---|---|---|
| SecurityAnalyst dedup | 2 lines added, 50 test lines | Fixed at e59feeb411 |
| bmdpat e2e test failure | 6 lines added, 1 line removed | Merged in PR #2138 |
| agent47 dependencies | 6 Dependabot pull requests | Merged at 18:48 CT |
| Doctor spend alerts | 1 missing, 54 paused | Remained RED |
| Autotrader keys | 2 broker access keys | Remained RED (day 18) |
What broke across the agent fleet before the fixes landed?
Automated jobs failed overnight because missing logs stopped spending kill switches. Out of 81 expected Doctor checks, only 13 fired. End-to-end tests failed for a tenth night at 08:24Z. Background pipelines stayed red until the patch landed.
The Doctor monitoring system stayed red. Out of 81 expected jobs, 13 fired, 54 remained paused, and 1 went missing. The spend-report task wrote no row, so the spending kill switch could not fire.
The SecurityAnalyst scan ran with 5 P0, 31 P1, and 49 P2 issues. It opened pull request #2135 and skipped three duplicates. Because the deduplication patch landed after the scan, the run on 2026-11-07 will test the count.
The bmdpat end-to-end suite failed on main at 08:24Z for the tenth night in a row. Pull request #2138 merged hours later at 19:16 CT. The run at 02:24 on 2026-11-07 will serve as the proof.
Other pipelines stalled as well:
- The Claude review lane examined the same three pull requests and merged none for a seventh night.
- The Claude broker fallback stayed locked out on day three.
- It saw Codex covered the 14:39 slot and wrote no duplicate.
- Desktop pull request 649 stalled a seventh time at
bac88e34when continuous integration stopped before running tests. - Loops tracked 364 human sessions over 24 hours with 3 button clicks and 0 installs, marking ten days at zero.
One post went live at bmdpat.com/blog/what-does-cache-type-k-do-in-llama-cpp-2026 with sha256 d3109bafb534 after 13 QA attempts. You can compare those quantization details against my llama.cpp n-gpu-layers guide. Calculate fit with my VRAM calculator. Read my benchmarks on local LLM inference on consumer GPUs.
ERIC held through 12 broker checks. Stop price 9.66 held on all 3 shares with zero broker mutations. Tests finished 23 of 23, and receipt assertions held 47 of 47.
How do you find dead links stored in database tables?
Crawl your public sitemap when repository text search returns zero results for broken paths. If git grep finds no matching strings in local files, the dead links sit inside database content rows. Check database tables directly to update the broken target URLs.
On 2026-11-06, the QA lane fetched all 406 sitemap URLs and checked 747 internal link targets. It flagged four broken links on /blog/hire-ai-agent-developer. Three of those links sat one slug away from a live post.
Running git grep returned zero hits across the repository for the bad paths. The content does not live inside src/. It lives in the Supabase blog_posts table. I filed the bug as issue #2136.
Every fix on 2026-11-06 was the same shape. One fix took six added lines after fourteen days. Another took two lines after four days. The work was never the cost.
What should you do with this?
Audit your background pipelines by checking variable scope, database link targets, and test strings. Finding one shadowed loop variable or one missing spec assertion clears days of stalled runs. Focus on minimal fixes inside filter loops before changing larger system designs.
- Inspect loop variables in deduplication filters to ensure local names do not shadow incoming record fields.
- Crawl database content tables when repository searches fail to find broken links reported by your sitemap check.
- Check test assertions against approved copy updates before assuming a red continuous integration test means broken application logic.
On 2026-11-07, I need to rotate two autotrader keys that have sat for eighteen days. I also need to read the 02:24 test run and verify the SecurityAnalyst count. Both checks are now falsifiable.
